What is my library PIN? How can I reset it?

Answer

Your library pin is a special password unique to your library borrowing account. Before you log in to your library borrowing account for the first time, you will need to change this pin.

To set your PIN online:

  1. Start at the library website, www.northampton.edu/library
  2. Use any SpartaCat (Library Catalog) link.
  3. Once in SpartaCat, click on either Log In or My Account at the top of the screen.
  4. Click on the Forgot my PIN link on the resulting pop-up.

Once you do this, a link to reset your PIN will be emailed to you. Students, faculty, and staff should check their Northampton email account for this message. Alumni and community guests should check the email they provided when they registered for a library account. Follow the instructions in the email to create your new PIN.

If you aren't able to find or reset your PIN yourself, you may also request a new one from staff at the library Circulation or Information desks with the presentation of your NCC ID, library card, or another photo ID. You may also call the libraries at (610) 861-5360 (Bethlehem) or (570) 369-1810 (Pocono) to have staff reset your PIN.
