If I'm not able to visit the library, is there still a way I could get and use books from the library collections?

Answer

Yes! Currently enrolled students (including online students) who are not able to visit the libraries in person may have books and other items from our collections sent to them through free UPS delivery through our Library to Go service.

In addition, articles, chapters, or sections of books that are designated as in-library use only can be scanned and sent by email or made available through the Library's Reserves course in Blackboard if requested (limited to 20 pages per item, as other copyright considerations allow).

Submitting Your Request

Provide us with details about the item(s) you need and indicate your pickup or delivery preference using the Library to Go request form. Need help finding your item information? Use SpartaCat, the library's catalog, or work with our librarians on your request.

Requests are usually fulfilled within 24-72 hours, but depending on item location and your pickup or delivery preference, may take as long as one week to complete. We will work to fulfill requests as soon as possible. Once your item has been shipped, you will be notified that it is on its way to you.

Returning Your Items

You will be provided with a pre-paid envelope and shipping label to use when you are ready to return your item. Just bring the item to your nearest UPS dropoff location to send it back to us.
