Does the library have my textbook?
Answer
It depends on the class and your professor, but most likely the libraries do not have your textbook in our collections.
Your best option if you are trying to buy or rent a textbook to use throughout the semester is to visit the campus Bookstores or order through the Bookstore's website.
Textbooks on Reserve
The libraries have a very small number of textbooks in our collections but do not have a copy of every textbook used by NCC classes. Textbooks are included in the library's print and digital reserves collections if a professor has asked for them to be made available or has donated their personal copy for students to use.
Print reserve items can only be borrowed for short periods of time (typically for 2 or 4 hours for in-library use and either 2 days or 1 week otherwise). You will be limited in the amount of time you'll have to access digital reserves, if requested, as well.
Textbooks Across the Collections
Our other collections might contain a very small number of textbooks as well, but we do not regularly purchase these items for our collections. To check what we have, you can search SpartaCat (the Library Catalog) using the title of the book you are looking for.
