What is a library reserve? How do I borrow or use a reserve item?

Answer

Library reserves are items that a professor has asked for us to set aside so that they can be available for all students in their class to use during the semester.

Print Reserves

If an item is on reserve and the check-out length is listed as 1 week or 3 weeks, the item can be checked out through Library to Go or in person at the Circulation Desk (Bethlehem) or Information Desk (Pocono).

If an item on reserve is listed with a 2-hour or 4-hour check-out time, the item can be checked out at the Circulation Desk (Bethlehem) or Information Desk (Pocono), but these items must stay in the library. However, if you know the chapter or section you need access to you can request it through Library to Go. Be as detailed as possible when requesting a book chapter or section.

Digital Reserves

If your instructor has placed materials in the library's digital reserves in Blackboard, please request to access the materials using the Library to Go form.
